Hello, I suppose you want to know me a little better since you're here. Well here we go...
My name is Wes and I take photos and videos of many things including my wife and son, but most often I find myself in the presence of couples pledging their love to each other in front of friends, family, and ride or die's. Residing in Austin, TX has its perks, including incredible food, live music, and outdoor activities (my fave). I love to travel, and thankfully my wife is a fan as well. We try to expand our coffee horizons with every new spot we visit. We love visiting national parks and have plans to visit each one in the US before we go up to the spirit in the sky.
I first picked up filming and editing in high school with aspirations of becoming a famous YouTuber. I still have my old channel out there somewhere with the most cringe worthy content you could imagine - at least for me. Let me know if you come across it. I started shooting weddings in 2014 as a sophomore in college. Ever since then I'm constantly finding new ways to hone my craft and put my couples in a state of pure bliss on their wedding day. If you know anything about the enneagram, I'm a type 9 (the peacemaker) which means I have an innate ability to bring peace to any situation. So if you find yourself needing a photographer to put you at ease and lead you through a "blessed over stressed" wedding day, then let's grab a coffee, a beer, a protein shake, or whatever your beverage of choice is and get started!
Believe me when I tell you - when I work with you, it will be a very personable, friendly experience. I like for you to feel comfortable with me and vice versa. My purpose is to glorify God with the talent that He has blessed me with, so you can be assured that whatever I am working on, I am doing it to the absolute best of my ability - because it's all for His glory.

My approach to photography and videography can be described as
I believe the best moments arrive out of you being unapologetically yourself.
Documenting a fabricated image doesn't make you feel connected to it.
You want photos and video that represent who you are, don't you?
That's what is going to tell the best story and that is
what your best memories will consist of.
During our time together, I want to get to know you and create that atmosphere
of authentic you. This can still include prompts and poses but ones that make
you feel relaxed and at ease. The experience of documenting your love story
should be easy. That's why you need someone who you trust, connect with, and
enjoy being around on your big day.

Truly, you are the inspiration. Your love, your story; it's what drives me and my passion. That's why no one wedding, no one shoot, is the same. Your unique personality, story, and chemistry spark how your photos and video will be captured.
It's important for me to build trust and really know you so that in our time together, you can be your authentic self.
I want you to be "ALL IN" for every moment of your day - Soaking them up like they're never gonna happen again. Not worrying about if the photo is being taken (trust me it is). I'll be there to capture those seconds of pure, uninterrupted joy along with all the moments in between. That's the memory you deserve to have documented.
In order to avoid as much as anxiety as possible, it's important to prepare prior to your big day. Among our many interactions leading up to the blissful ceremony, we will talk through your "absolute must have" shots, even put together a pinterest board for inspiration. We will compile all the family shots into a manageable list that I will personally organize to be as efficient as possible, so that you do not feel rushed and can be assured that all the important faces will show up in your final gallery.
Your wedding day shouldn't be filled with thoughts about whether or not you forgot something or if everyone is doing their job. All you need to do is relax, take a few steps down to the alter and say "I DO".
I'm a huge movie buff! Anytime you want to sit down and discuss the deeper meaning of a film's story or just totally geek out about how cool something was in a movie you saw, count me in!

Outside of the wedding day, and when I finally emerge from my editing cave, life is pretty slow moving at the moment, and I'm not complaining. Raising a little boy and loving my wife fill my downtime most days. My wife and I like exploring different eateries and taverns to try new drinks and expand our taste bud horizons. I have found so many new places through connecting with couples so please be sure to tell me what you fancy.
No matter what I'm doing, my soul purpose on earth is to bring glory to my heavenly Father. He has seen fit to support me in telling love stories through visual mediums, and I do not take that for granted. It is a beautiful thing to be a part of the wedding day and while it may be my job, I will forever be honored to document such an occasion.
Wes made our wedding photo dreams come true! Wes was amazing to work with, from the very first call we had with him, we could tell he was invested in getting to know us as a couple and understanding what we wanted for our photos.
Thanks Wes, for the best experience!
"Could not recommend enough! Wes did our wedding pictures and video…and let me just say…it was beyond anything we could’ve asked for! All the pictures were beautifully edited with a touch of nostalgia. He really got to know us and our faith, and produced a video that truly reflected that! All that to say, Wes was extremely fun and easy to work with. You won’t be disappointed one bit! We will be treasuring our pictures and videos forever."
An extra special touch was all the moments Wes caught between other couples who attended our wedding. I really loved getting to send those professionally captured special moments to my guests who were enjoying a moment with their own better half.
